Exports of Turkish defense and aerospace industry products increased by 37.7% in the first nine months of this year compared to the same period in 2018. This is reported by the Assembly of Exporters of Turkey (TIM).

In January-September, the volume of exports of Turkish defense products amounted to $ 1.86 billion, while last year this figure was $ 1.35 billion.

The United States is still the leading importer of Turkish defense and aerospace products. Thus, Turkish exports of these products to the United States for nine months increased by 17.1% to 595.2 million dollars.

This is followed by Germany, where products worth $ 184.8 million were exported, an increase of 9.7%.

Turkish exports of defense and aerospace products to Oman in the specified period increased by 35.8% and amounted to 184.8 million, to Qatar — by 1336.6% to $ 138.8 million, to the United Arab Emirates — by 1763.8% to $ 96.5 million.
